Spike TM

Resin 3D printing with the surface art demands.

UV resin printing for artists and designers whose work will be seen, handled or cast. We give it the smooth surface and fine detail the piece deserves, then finish it by hand.

Work shown at Frieze, Studio Voltaire and Nicoletti Contemporary.

How we help

When a piece is going to be seen, handled or cast, the surface matters. We print in UV resin and finish everything by hand, ready for paint, patina, plating or casting. We'll talk the material through with you first, so the process fits the work rather than the other way round.

What you get

A surface you can exhibit

Smooth skin and crisp detail, ready to show or photograph up close.

Made for casting and moulding

Castable and standard resins, whether you're a jeweller or a mould-maker.

Finished by hand

Sanded, primed and prepared for paint, patina or plating.

The right resin, together

We'll help you choose between standard, tough and castable.

What we do

Materials

UV resin (standard, tough, castable)

Surface you can exhibit

Resin holds fine texture and crisp form, then takes finishing beautifully. For work that will be shown, handled or photographed close up, it is usually the right starting point.

Material choices, explained

Standard resin for form and finish, tough resin for pieces that must survive handling, castable resin for jewellery and metal casting. We talk you through the trade-offs before anything prints.

A collaborative process

We treat a resin print as a stage in your work, not a transaction. Expect a conversation about scale, orientation, finish and what happens to the piece after it leaves the studio.

Who it's for

Resin suits sculptors, jewellers, designers and mould-makers making work where surface and detail matter.

Questions

Good to know

Is resin printing suitable for sculpture?

Yes. Resin's smooth surface and fine detail make it a strong choice for sculpture and detailed art objects, especially where the piece will be seen or handled closely.

Can you finish and paint resin prints?

Yes. We sand, prime and prepare resin pieces in-house so they are ready for paint, patina, plating or display.

Do you offer resin printing for jewellery?

We print castable resin masters for jewellers to cast in metal, and we advise on detail limits and finishing for small-scale work.
